Day 01: Arrival at Bagdogra/NJP – Drive to Yuksom
- Drive Distance: 150 km | Duration: 6–7 hours
- Altitude: 1,785 m
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station, you’ll be greeted by Bon Travel India’s representative. Embark on a scenic drive through the lush landscapes of NH10, passing the Melli check post en route to Yuksom — the historical first capital of Sikkim and a renowned base for treks into the Kanchenjunga range.
Check into your hotel upon arrival. The evening is yours to unwind or explore the tranquil Himalayan village at leisure.

Day 02: Yuksom to Tshoka – Into the Wild

- Altitude: 3,050 m
The real adventure begins! Start your trek with a gentle ascent through vibrant subtropical forests. After checking in at the Kanchenjunga National Park gate, continue through dense greenery alive with birdsong and unique flora. Cross picturesque hanging bridges over the Paha Khola and Tshuchey rivers to reach Sachen.
Post-lunch, brace for a steep but rewarding climb via Bakhim to reach the Tibetan village of Tshoka, where the first views of Mt. Pandim and Mt. Tenchinkhang await. Tshoka is dotted with rhododendrons and abandoned wooden huts—perfect for an alpine sunset.

Day 03: Tshoka to Dzongri – Into the Rhododendron Kingdom
- Trek Distance: 9 km | Trek Duration: 5–6 hours
- Altitude: 4,030 m
Ascend through enchanting forests of rhododendron and fir to reach Phedang, a scenic meadow with breathtaking vistas. After a break, push forward through alpine terrain and reach Deorali Dara (also known as Windy Hill), offering panoramic views of the snow-clad Sikkim Himalayas. A serene walk leads you through dwarf rhododendron and juniper to the highland pastures of Dzongri.

Day 04: Sunrise at Dzongri Top & Acclimatization Day

- Altitude: 4,300 m
Rise early and trek to Dzongri La (Dabla Gang) to witness the golden sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, Rathong, Kabru Dome, Forked Peak, and more. This 360° spectacle is one of the most mesmerizing Himalayan sunrise experiences in India.
Return to camp for breakfast. Later, explore nearby areas like Laxmi Pokhari or hike toward the Black Peak for acclimatization. This day helps your body adjust to the altitude while soaking in the surreal beauty around.

Day 05: Dzongri to Tshoka – Descending the Heights

- Altitude: 3,050 m
Optional early morning hike to Dzongri Top again for one last panoramic view of the majestic peaks. After breakfast, retrace your steps down through Phedang and Bakhim, descending gradually to reach the peaceful settlement of Tshoka.

Day 06: Tshoka to Yuksom – Final Descent
